I was getting ready to sign up for medicare.
I had several companies call me to sign for supplemental
or change my insurance from Care Plus to something better.
I had a girl from Bankers Life and Casualty by the name of Lorena Ivonne Campos
came over to my house to explain the difference in other insurance companies as oppose to having Care plus.
I signed and was ready to go. I asked her if I had any doubts would I be able to cancel?
She said yes I had 90 days to cancel my policy. The next day my husband said to just go with Care Plus and I called Ms. Campos and asked her to please cancel my policiy my husband decided it was best to go with Care Plus. She told me no problem she would cancel me right away. A few weeks later I was going over my bank statement and I relized that Bankers had pulled out the first payment after I had cancelled. I called Bankers again and told them my story and I was told by another agent to write a letter and send it to an address in Plantation, Florida. I called Ms. Campos and left her a message regarding the money withdrawals but I had no answer. On Nov 10 I send my letter to the address told. Once again I called Ms. Campos and her voicemail answered. I left a message again. Looked at my bank statement again in November and once again money was taken from my account for Bankers Insurance Company. I called bankers again and spoke to a customer service agent who said that I had to have sent the letter to the corporate headquarters. Then the agent said that becasue I sent it to a local branch it would have to wait until they received the letter and then the policy would be cancelled 15 business days later after processing. Again I called Ms. Campos and this time she miraculously answered the phone. Apparently she knew that I had called to cancel the isurance through the main office and told me that she had been trying to take care of it even though she never returned one of my phone calls. Today November 29 I have yet to receive one cent back and I am still waiting on my refund. Now that she signed me she wanted nothing to do with my case. I was just an enrollment to her. Do not enroll with bankers they will ripp you Off!!!
