Do not purchase any memberships from Planet Fitness. Especially the one at 850 Ives Dairy Road in North Miami Beach, FL. They have fairly inexpensive memberships, but once you sign the contract, you start hearing about all the rules they have. These rules change from week to week. You cannot wear anything on your head except a baseball cap; you can't wear sweat bands on your head; you cant wear a wrap around your waist to help burn fat unless you wear it under your clothes... These are just a few of the stupid rules.
If you break a rule, they cancel your membership and charge your credit card a $50 fee. The staff is unprofessional and not helpful. If you don't know how to use a machine, you are out of luck, because they act as if you are bothering them when you ask for help. There are no aerobics classes, yoga, or anything personalized to meet your individual needs.
If you use the massage tables, you have a 4 minute maximum. The massage chair has a 4 minute maximum as well. The service is terrible, and there are too many rules of what you can and cannot do, wear, or say. For $5 or $10 more, you are better off going to Bally's or LA Fitness where you have more fitness options, and the freedom to wear whatever you want to workout.
Do not buy planet fitness gym memberships... They cancel your membership at any time and for any reason, especially if you break their riciculous "rules"
