My daughter had been bullied at school from the year 2006 until the incident that was a result of her being bullied and she was involuntary placed into Holly Hill Mental Hospital 9/23 which at that time was one of the hardest things i ever had to do. Because all that was going on and with my getting no help from the local school system she attended even after she was beaten with brass knuckles in 2008 was to take me to court. But i filed a complaint against Nash Rocky Mount schools with the US department of education office of civil rights on my daughters behalf during which time she was placed involuntarily into Holly Hill hospital and i was told by Dr. Shetty that the PTSD, severe depression that she has been diagnosed with was direct result of her being buliied at school on school property, assaulted and emotional abused.
During her being in the hospital, spoke with the Drr or the nurses daily about my daughter. But then i had requested a complete copy of her medical record as i question who provided any of my daughters medical record documents to an attorney for Nash Rocky Mount schools as i as mother and her being a minor 14 years old had no authority to give permisiion for anyone to receive any of her records. Then i was assured that no one had given him any of her medical stay hospital documents. I stated that he also mentioned now that the documents state nothing ever happened to her at school that was the reason as i alleged for her being in the hospital and i asked for a copy of her records because i know what i was told and if HR had documents that other then i as the mother wanted to know how, when, why and what changed. Also i had filed for due process thru the office of adiministrative hearings because of how the bullying and isues was continuing to affect her mentally and educationally and other prior to hery having to be hospitalized. But during the investigation by US department of education office of civil rights their agent was provided documents from the hospital which stated substantuated what the schools attorney stated to her an in letter to me.
After that the Dr wouldn't answe my calls and i was given the run around from speaking to social worker, then to records department with no one answering the phone my leaving numerous messages with no response. I sent a letter in writing and that to took forever and it was only after the US department of education office of civil rights had completed its investigation of the complaint i filed against the school. I was sent only a few pages. They had in my daughters discharge summary which was shared with federal agency due to complaint filed on the behalf of the patient / student and was the 1st time i ever saw as it was not information provided on the day of discharge from the hospital and was shared with me.
PLEASE HELP! As we dont have a lot of money as the school system and Holly Hill hospital does but what these people did is more than wrong! The US department of education OCR complaint no: 11-10-1051 for the complainted i filed tampered with medical records and after such provided the tampered with information to OCR which hendered a fair decsion being made based upon true and factual information during an federal investigation.
