I followed the Body Rx diet religiously for nearly 6 months, before 3 days in the hospital and a warning from my doctor convinced me to stop. While I was able to lose weight, I was shocked that I was actually losing muscle mass and water weight, while my body fat percentage skyrocketed! I was hospitalized for kidney failure and had to undergo several tests, because the doctors were convinced that I had AIDS based on my symptoms - I guess that is another side effect of this diet! Some of the other side effects that I had while on the diet include: kidney stones, anal fissures, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, inverted penis, impotence, rancid breath, constipation, heavy breathing, and auto-immune disorders. Im convinced that this diet is lethal, follow at your own risk.
