Aka Enzyte Auto-ship rip off scam, resolved with Credit Card This has been such a hassle, and I'm sure the owner of Lifekey is getting rich from people who just let it go

I fell for the same scam as many others: I saw the TV ads for the "free" sample of Enzyte. I ordered the sample and gave them a credit card number to cover $4.95 for shipping and handling. I never saw anything on the website about getting auto-enrolled in the the "established customer program". However when the bottle arrived, I noticed on the fine print it says so. It says it autoships every 60 days so I figured I had some time to try the product and cancel if I didn't want to get more. 14 days after my original order arrived, I got billed for 2 more bottles at $69.95. There is no doubt this is a scam.

I called the customer service line, and after holding for exactly 10 minutes (do they have an auto-hold program as well?) I got to speak to a surly punk named Justin. He told me they had no return policy so I was out of luck. I explained that even if I was obligated by their "established customer program" - which I don't think I am - but even if I was obligated to it, they shipped and billed at least two weeks early. He would only reiterate that they had no return policy. He told me my only recourse was to dispute it on my credit card. I thanked him and asked if I could get his last name for my records. He spat back, "I'm not going to tell you my last name!". Okeydoke... There's the sign of a reputable company, eh? I did manage to get his employee number (unless he lied, it's 4025). I asked him what I should do with the two bottles of enzyte I didn't want and he said he didn't care.

When my credit card statement arrived (AmEx), I called and disputed the charge. Apparenty AmEx is very good with this sort of thing. They informed me to write "REFUSED - RETURN TO SENDER" on the unopened auto-shipment. They said it is following federal policy to do so and that I cannot be charged if I do this. Then they reversed the charges. Hopefully this is the last I will hear about this.

My next step is to inform the Ohio Attorney General of this scam (http://www.ag. State. Oh.Us/). I am sure there are many complaints and many more will help us get this company shut down. This has been such a hassle, and I'm sure the owner of Lifekey is getting rich from people who just let it go. It's clearly not from the useless product he sells.
