SunCoast Rehab was a complete joke and a complete waste of money. Run by ungodly people. The pleace is funded and ran by " Scientoligist"
When I arrived there it did look like a really good place and comfortable setting, but when I woke up the very next morning I found out what that place was all about. Most rehabs you had to go to NA Meeting and groups, stuff like that nope not this place. Got to wake up eat go to course from 10 am to 8:30 pm.
Course was based on STUPID books which you were partnered up with a twin and you had to sit acrossed from eachother exactly 3 feet away looking at one another couldn't move nothing for a certain amount of time and basically play Simon Says with the Instructor.
Everyone that worked there had all graduated from that program. Now everyone works there and are married or live together. They all lie and say there trying to help you there not they just see dollar signs and don't want anyone to leave there. I met a girl there I arrived at the end of July and she arrived there on May thats just insane. The poor girl wanted to go home so bad, and was past the sickness and cravings, but had her parents convinced that if she went home she would use again which is BULLS*T.
That is also a lot like my story, I left a detox center that prefers you to go to a rehab after the detoxing well I have a little girl and had nobody to watch her so I came home for two weeks stayed completly clean. Then of course like any addict I had some stress goin on in my life of course thought about using but didn't. So I begged my mother to send me down there before I did use. It sounded really good on the internet and on the phone, and also had some friends already there from the detox center. I was promised to have my phone so I could contact my family and my daughter, and I WASNT.
I wanted to leave there so bad, when I did call my mom and tell her that place was not working for me and physically felt fine but Mentally that place was driving me crazy. They locked up my money, wallet, perfume, cell phone, cds, etc. Stuff they tell you you can have. Anyway I told my mom everything she got me a flight and when I told the staff I was leaving they all surrounded me told me I couldn't leave wouldn't give me my stuff, and I ended up missing my flight. The one of the supervisors there called my Mother and told her that if she did bring me home I had full intentions on using again, which was a bold face LIE!!!
I feel so sorry for the people they will sceme into going there and I feel for the people that were there when I was and were stuck there. I was a stuggling drug addict for 6 years and am completly sober and lovin it and it was not with the help from SUN COAST.
