I co-signed for a Care credit acct for dental expenses to help out a friend. She lost her job and called them to say I am starting a new job training but cannot make my next 2 payments.
They called and harrassed her but you can't get blood from a rock. So they started to call and harass me. I finally offered to make a payment and they put her on a C.A. P (customer assistance program). For 9 months when her payment would go back to the full amount.
Her payment is due on the 16th of each month and they told me, that because I had made a payment for Oct., that she would not need to make a payment until Nov. 16.
They just took another payment out of my account today when I had only authorized them to take out the one payment.
I will call tomorrow and close my acct. I'm tired of people in a pinch being taken advantage of by dishonest vultures.
