I have been waiting for my insurance company to pay a portion of my dental bill; now that they have, I have a credit due to me on my Care Credit account. Having explained to the "escalation" representative that the monthly payments to them have caused serious financial hardship, the woman refused to expedite my refund. I was told again and again that it would take 10-14 business days and that several of those days are for in-house processing. I cannot believe that asking the accounting department to cut me a check will take several DAYS. Care Credit has no problem taking the monthly payment from my checking account each month... Why can't GEMB, a MASSIVE corporation with unlimited technologies, conduct the reverse transaction? Furthermore, GEMB continued to take my monthly payment AFTER the account had been paid in full by the insurance company... Explain that.
