I moved out of Arizona more than a year ago. When I left I told the staff that I was moving and they said they would take care of things for canceling my membership. I noticed several months later that I was still being charged. I called them and they said that I would have to write a letter and send it in to have my subscription and my stepsons canceled. I was on my way to Europe in a few hours I explained... But no way were they going to cancel over the phone. When I got back from Europe I got a letter stating that the subscription had been canceled and everything was taken care of.
Well, I belong to a fitness center in Idaho which charges the same amount for membership. They happen to both be using the same billing company... So I didn't realize that I was still being billed for my stepson's membership for over a year now, while we are living in another state. I called them again today... They want a letter. They can't explain why my subscription was canceled, but they require a letter for my stepson.
This company has no regard for customer service and they will scrap every last penny out of you if they can. I think there is a reason why they go through so many club managers. Also, in the beginning they promise many things, but once you begin your membership they could really care less. Please use an ethical Fitness center and avoid these rip offs. If you notice there are several complaints of fraud from this company in Phoenix, as they have about 8 clubs or so.
