Gave false information, took money from my account before the date they gave me, rude and unprofessional customer service

I work for a daycare and I was in need of health insuance. My job offers insuance, but I couldn't afford the monthly premium. On the day of 4/18/08 a fax came in to my work claming to have affordable health care plans so I looked into it.

When I called they made it sound like it was just what I needed a great health care plan. Low monthly premium, doctor visits only $25.00 per visit, no annual contracts, no waiting periods, and the only deductable is for the ER for $100.00 due at time of service. Medical, dental, vision, hearing, and hospitalization.

On 6/3/08 I payed $199.00 for the first months premium plus $125.00 one time enrollment fee totaling $324.00 and my coverage would start on 7/1/08. Then on 7/2/08 they withdrew another $199.00 from my banking account. I recieved a notice from my bank telling me I have insuffient funds due to a withdraw from my account on 7/2/08 form N.B.S. A Insurance. This payment was not to be taken out untell 8/3/08.

I needed to see the doctor so I found one in their network close to home. After my visit I was going to check out to pay my $25.00 fee for services and the lady told me that it would cost me more to use the insurance than to pay there first time patient fee. I told her I would pay the first time patient fee instead of using the CWA benefits because it would have cost me more.

I was prescribed some medication. So I went to the pharmacy to use my pharmacy coverage and the pharmasist told my husband that the coverage wasnt worth the card it was printed on. CWA pharmacy benefits wanted to charge me $120.00 for the medication and just buying it out right form the pharmacy would only cost me approximently $65.00.

When I got home I called CWA's customer service. I told them what had happend with everything, even my bank account. The woman told me that she couldnt be responsable for what the enrollment center had told us, and I wouldnt be reimbersed for the insuffient funds on my account nor would I get any of my money back for the premiums that they had taken form my account.

On that same day I tried to cancel the benefits but they couldnt do it by phone I had to fax, e-mail, or write CWA. So I e-mailed CWA abd cancelled the benefits. They e-mailed me back on 7/11/08 confirming my cancellation of benefits. I was out a total of $548.00 and still no health coverage.

Its pretty sorry that this company could do this to a person knowing we need health care coverage that we can afford. I know Im not the only one ripped off by Consolidation workers association/N.A.B.S.A. But it will be the last time. Lession learned.
