An addendum to my last posting: After writing a letter to Peerless explaining I would file a small claims court suit unless I received the $99 refund, I made a follow up call. I was told that the owner refused a refund and that he was 85 years old and didn't care if he had to go to court. I have now filed a small claims suit and in addition to asking that the original $99 be refunded, am requesting reimbursement for all the time I've had to expend in dealing with the issue. Not a very wise or cost-effective way for Peerless to conduct business.
