My son signed-up for a one month membership at Peak Fitness for the month of September 07. He told them when he was signing up that he only wanted one month because he was leaving for boot camp with the Marines. He wound up being deployed for boot camp early and did not use the month. They have continued to charge him monthly even past the one month saying that he signed a longer contract.
I have been calling and arguing with them since the beginning of October. My son's recruiting officer dropped of deployment papers to Peak Fitness in October. They are continuing to charge him monthly. My son dropped off additional deployment papers on January 2 when he was home on leave.
This company is completely uncooperative with this situation. My son is making great sacrifices for his country and Peak Fitness has no regard or respect for my son's efforts on his country's behalf. I filed a report with the Better Business Bureau but nothing has been accomplished.
