In March I got a letter in the mail about a new diet pill that was garunteed to help you lose weight with no dieting or exercising. I was skeptical and did some research on the internet. I couldn't find anything, it was that new. So I called the toll-free number to ask them myself.

The girl I spoke with was very informative, and polite. I asked questions such as what was in the product, how many returns do they get, how many reorders, how long has the company been in business and so on. The young girl, (22 yo), had all the answers, so I bought the biggest amount, (4 bottles plus 2 free) for a total of $125.95 plus shipping and handling, for a grand total of $132.95.

I was told that it would take 10 business days to get it. I ordered on 4-09-07 and didn't get it until 4-30-07, much longer than I was told. I made several phone calls and got the same girl I made the order with, trying to get a tracking number or some proof of shipment and all she could do was tell me that their computer said it was shipped but they couldn't find the tracking number. That's because they didn't ship it until 4-26-07 according to the post mark on my package.

Before I got the shipment I wanted to talk to the manager, (who only works 4 hours a day 4 days a week!) in order to cancel the order and get my money back, but the manager was never there. Before I could get a hold of the manager my package arrived, so I thought I might as well try it now.

The stuff does NOT work! The directions on the bottle tell you to take just one pill a day with your biggest meal and a glass of water. Do nothing else and you should lose weight. If that doesn't work the you are supposed to take 3 pills a day. I didn't lose any weight taking the high dosage.
I decided that I needed to send these pills back for my money back.

But by the time I got to the post office it was already 5-29, exactly 30 days after I got them. I figured I was still in the clear to get a refund, since the garuntee said 'try it for 30 days and if you aren't satisfied for any reason just send it back for a full refund less shipping and handling'. I wanted to get the pills overnighted so that they knew exactly when I sent them and I could have proof of delivery. I paid over $54 for that!

They were delivered the very next morning at 9:46am and were signed for by a person named "Gayle". (By the way, the UPS store told me that the address I was shipping the pills back to was a residence, not a business address).

I called them and asked when to expect my refund. The person on the other end of the line didn't know but would verify my info and call me back later on. She didn't call back.

I went online the next day to see if my card had been credited for the refund I totally expected.instead I found a pending charge for another $125.95! Wtf!!! So I called the company yet again. I asked why I wasn't being refunded. The person I talked to said that I didn't get the pills back to them within the 30 days. What crap! There was nothing on their printed advertisement that said I had to get the pills back to them in 30 days, but that I could try it for 30 days and get my money back. How can I try them for 30 days and still get them back in the same time frame unless I can hand deliver them?!

The woman I talked to was unmoveable. I couldn't get her to even work with me on it. I asked to speak with her manager. She said she WAS the manager. I asked to speak with someone higher up than her. She said she was the only one besides the owner of the company who was authorized to handle 'things like this'. So I asked for the owner's phone number.

She refused and back tracked, saying that she was in fact the only one who could handle this. I said she was saying that only because she didn't want to get in trouble with the owner. She repeatedly refused to give me my money back. And all because I was one day late in getting the product back to them, even though that is not what it says in the printed ad.

Now I am not only out the 125.95, plus 7.00 sh, plus $54.03 to overnight it back, but now I don't even have the product!

These people probably work out of their own apt, re-selling some crack-pot pills, (Thin Again isn't the only product, by the way. They always ask what product you're calling about so there has to be more), that they bought from a Canadian company, (Thin Again used to only be sold in Canada). They find any excuse to not refund your money, going back on their printed word that I should be able to get it back after trying it for 30 days. And now they have stolen my money because I don't even have the product any more!

I called my bank and canceled the card number I used to make this purchase. I didn't want to see any more charges from the company. I told the bank that I had tried talking to the company about the pending charge and the bank can only wait and see if it actually goes through. Pending charges sometimes go away without posting. So I do have to wait and see if Duna Research was actually telling me the truth about the initial refund and then charge-back.

I've also filed a claim with the BBB in New York. I explained my situation in abbreviated form, (you're only allowed 2030 characters on their site), and told them that I wanted either a chashier's check or money order for the $125.95, (I will NOT accept personal or company checks and I can't have them post to the credit card on file now that I've had it closed). If they can't get Duna to do that, then I demand that I get my unused portion of my purchase back, without any more shipping charges to me.

The BBB says that I should get a response in 2 business days, saying that they have contacted the business in question. The business then has 14 days to respond.
If I can't get my money back then I will make their business harder to conduct. Hopefully all those looking to find information on either the product "Thin Again" or Duna Research, or Health Direct Products will see this and be better informed before making a purchase with these dishonest people.
