I'm going through the application process for a physically demanding job and wanted to lose 15 pounds to more define my muscles and improve my abilities just a wee bit better. Looking for tips on the internet one night I ran across an ad for this Acai Berry Pill. I researched it, found there were scams and supposed "imposters" out there so I tracked down the "official" website and ordered. Acai Berry Pill people recommend me to also take an additional product called TotalCleanse with it for "best results". Ok, Fine. I order that too, both of them on Free Trials.
Right on time, Acai Berry arrives one week later. But where is my TotalCleanse? I wait, 4 days pass, 1 week passes, and then here I am 3 weeks later and still no product. During this time I'm also taking the Acai Berry Pills following the directions exactly, with no changes to my diet or workout routine and guess what happens? I start GAINING weight (5 pounds). So I stop the Acai Berry Pill immediately after discovering this. After 2 days, weight returns to normal. I thought the point to this product was to LOSE weight?
Anyway, back to the TotalCleanse. I refer back to my receipt which lists only a phone number, nothing else.By now I've completely forgotten the website address. I call the number which is answered by the stereotypical indian with no concept of the english language AT ALL. Literally we spent 5 entire minutes fighting over what my friggin name was. I request to cancel the free trial, ok fine she says, I say alright then now what about refund for the shipping costs I was charged? She says sorry no, we don't give refunds for shipping... Even though they never shipped the product. So basicly I just donated $6 to you people for nothing? Yes Ma'am. Do You have a manager I can speak with? Uh... Uh... Sowwy Manager Jus' Left. Oh, Really. Does this Manager have a phone number? No Ma'am No phone. At this point I hang up, this person is too ridiculous to even try to reason with.
I continued this fight with one of their Online Support people. I'm told I'll be given a full refund for everything when I drop the Better Business Bureau name. I say fine and leave him with a warning that I will be watching my credit statements.
Now to cancel this stupid Acai Berry crap, I call in, This person actually speaks english! Praise the Lord! She is pleasent and doesn't leave me on hold for 15 minutes just to cancel my order. She says alright your order is canceled. I say great, thanks. But then she says "But". Yeah? But we'll still charge you for $59 for the one month supply you received. I say uhm, no, that wasn't part of the deal...? I was told I'd pay shipping and that's it if I decide to cancel. She tells me I can get a refund but I have to wait 60 days and then send the pills back (they'll probably charge me again for shipping... So I'm dumping all their pills in the garbage except for one to be sent back.)
This entire thing is set up to scam all of us out of anything they can get us for. Are they hoping that in 60 days I'll accidentally forget to send the pills back? And then they get to keep another 59 bucks of mine. I don't think so. Everybody needs to wake up, and yes me too, I can't even believe I fell for this crap I should have just spent an extra mile on the treadmill each day or something instead of "donating" my money to god knows who for some crap I never even received/didn't work that set me back from reaching my personal goals. Beyond all this money scam crap the truth is: THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS SOME MAGICAL BERRY IN THE FORREST THAT IS GOING TO MAKE YOU SKINNY!!! If that was the case the only things listed under ingredients would be: Acai Berry. Look closer. Theres all kinds of crap in that stuff and you have no idea what any of it is, do you? If you want to be fit, You have to WORK for it! I know this all from personal experience, theres no magic bullet, pill, liquid, hocuspocus nothing. Its eating natural things that will fuel your body to exercise. That's it. Thats all you have to do. Eat Well, Exercise.
