I spoke with a representative by the name of Daniel on 1/17/07, he called me after I had been online looking for medical insurance. Daniel told me that Sure Health would cover 70% of maternity, UP TO $5, OOO FOR emergency room visits, after you pay a $100 co-pay. I was 'surprized, so I asked if this would include any type of visit (e.G., strep throat) he said yes. Daniel also told me that I would only pay a $20 co-pay at doctor's visits.
I did not receive any cards or paper work in the mail until a month later 02/14/07, I was stressed out when I read over the plan, it was nothing that I had spoke to Daniel about, in fact it wasn't even an insurance plan at all, it was some type of discount plan that is for people with existing medical coverage. I immediately called the customer service number located on the card to cancel, I was told to fax over a letter stating the nature of the dipute. I did that on 02/15/07.
I called back and spoke with customer service that following week, And was told I could not get a credit because I waited too long. I was after I review the plan I could get a refund ten days after that if I desired, That is why they sent the plan late, but if they check phone records they will see where he told me 10 days after I review the paper work not 10 days after they took my $279.95.
Something needs to be done about this, I spoke to Lee in customer service 02/01/07, he said he would call me back the next morning at 10am, he didn't, so I called him back and he said he would call back again this time in 5 minutes and I have not heard from him. Please... Something needs to be done about this.instead of contributing to healthcare for Americans they are adding to the stress which is causing high blood pressure and depression. I could have used my money to purchase a real insurance plan.
