I was going to a therapist for treatment of a neck injury in 2005. After several weeks of only using a tens unit, the therapist gives me one and tells me that insurance would pay for this. I take it home and never used it. A month later I get a phone call from Empi inc. Saying that I owe them 288.00 for the unit and that the insurance company paid there part of the unit. I mentioned that I never used the unit and asked to return it.in a very rude manner the women on the phone states that if I return the unit I then will have no product and will owe a rental fee which exceeded the balance that they claimed I owe. I mentioned that I wanted to do neither. She states that if I could not afford the unit I would be turned over to collection. I have recently been turned over after all this time and I am receiving extremely harrassing phone calls from a company called Pinnacle Group.
