My daughter fell off our fence and we thought her arm was broken. I called Southlake Emergency Care and inquired if they accepted my insurance. I was told no but that I'd be able to file a claim afterwards. Once we arrived at the center I was told that they would not be able to provide us with an itemized bill, which was required to file my claim with my insurance company. My daughter was in pain and I was not going to drive her to another location. I had to pay the bill which was $375. Luckily, my daughter's arm wasn't broken.
To solve this problem they could have:
1. Provided us with an itemized bill.
2.informed us prior to driving there that we would be unable to file a claim with our insurance company.
If we had known prior we would had driven the extra distance to CARE NOW were they accept my insurance.
A valuable lesson was learned.
