As Apria is on my Insurance providers, preferred provider list, my equipment order was sent to them on June 30th. On July 17th, when I had not heard anything, I contacted my doctor and the study center, who then gave me the Apria toll free number, when I called them, I was told my machine is listed as ready for pickup. No one called me to schedule a fitting so I could pick it up. I left 2 messages the same day and never received a return call. I left another message this morning and still have not received a call back. I was told by the sleep study center that Apria does this too all its patients with insurance from the same company I am covered by.
I have filed a complaint with my Insurance Company.
My need for Home Medical equipment is not a life or death issue, but it sure makes me wonder what happens to people who have life threatening issues with the same insurance.
