This company, which goes by several names, is the biggest rip off that I have ever encountered. Just as the other complaints have stated, the "free" sample of Hoodia that i ordered was riddled with loop oles to scam me out of my money.
I had a funny feeling about this as soon as I clicked on the submit button. My computer seemed to freeze up and there was no confirmation e-mail for my "free" sample. I waited a couple of weeks and received no sample, so I decided to check my credit card balance to see if it had been charged. I had been charged $99.90 for the first supply of Hoodia Thin, which I had not received.
Fortunately, I saved the original e-mail that I responded to. When I went back to revisit it the dollar amounts had changed on the web site. When I attempted to access the link for customer service I automatically ended up on the complaint. This made me contact the credit card company and file a dispute. I also changed my credit card number to protect myself from future charges.
Then the run around began. I called the customer service nmber numerous times before getting through to a "real" service represenative. The first ten times i called i was either hung up on at the end of a long wait on hold, or I reached an "operator" to leave a message. I had to threaten to contact the media to talk to a service represenative. It was funny that each person I spoke to sounded the same. I have a suspicion that the operator and the service represenative are one in the same person.
After much of a run around I was told that I could return my product for a refund when it arrived. It arrived two weeks later and I sent it priority mail with a tracking number. I called back as directed with the tracking number and was told to follow up again in two weeks if i hadn't received my refund.
I called when I didn't receive my refund and was told that there was no record of my return. The post office gave me the exact date and time of delivery. I was told that I needed to write to the corprate office in Utah and demand my refund. I mailed the product back to California. When I asked to speak with a manager I was hung up upon.
These people need to be stopped. If I can be of any assistance in stopping them please let me know.
