Made false statements regarding health benefits, premium payments, costs, enrollment fees, refunds. Believe this company to be a scam operation. Ripoff

I believe this medical savings program company to be fraudulent for the following reasons:

1. They quoted enrollment fees and premiums/costs that turned out to be more and the amounts increased each time I called.

2. Each service representative had a different story about procedures, benefits and costs.

3. They stated if we chosed to cancel, we would receive a complete refund of payments/enrollment fees/costs within 90 days. Later, they changed that to a refund of only the enrollment fee. And when I finally received the membership package, the member terms and conditions reduced it to one-half of the enrollment fee. I later returned the whole package, Express Mail, with a letter asking for my refund. Of course, they never responded.

4. They led me to believe by quoting percentage figures that the patient only paid 80 percent of the medical costs. Then they changed that to 50 percent and with each proceeding call reduced the percentages below 50 percent. The medical breakdown of what the patient pays and what the provider discounts or allows was not stated in the healthcare package they sent me.

5. They did not mention anything upon enrollment about their program regarding pre-certification and pre-payment procedures when checking into a hospital. I was never told that a $l, 000 deposit for each day of scheduled stay is due to the hospital prior to rendering service. This notice was sent with the medical savings package after I enrolled.

6.90 percent of the time they did not answer their phones. If you got through you would be put on hold and then transfer over to an answering machine. They 99 percent of the time didn't call you back. I figured out if you called their sales department they were more apt to answer. Obviously, they were thinking they were getting a new customer only to get a quick rip-off sale. If there was a real emergency and the hospital had to get ahold of Equal Access Health for confirmation of the patient's membership and the patient's benefits, how would the hopital or the patient know if they were covered and how much they were covered for when it came to hospital costs/doctor costs, etc.?

7. Afterwards, when I started having suspicions because of the way things were being handled (i.E.in a very unprofessional way), I asked a services representative for a physical address where they were located. She would not give out that information and asked me if I was going to go there personally. I heard laughter in the background. I told her I might. Since she couldn't give me a physical address, that only added more doubts about the legitimacy of this business.

8.in the early stages I asked for a directory of network providers for my daughter's area as she was looking into possibly enrolling into their medical program. A service representative was more than happy to do that. Later, another employee stated just the opposite and said they would not release that directory to her unless she joined and paid her enrollment fees/payments. Obviously, she wanted to know if her doctors were on that list and if she would be covered. They probably didn't want to disclose that directory because if her physicians weren't on that list, she would not join.

For the above reasons and for other reasons and circumstances that I experienced, and the ones that do not come to mind at the present time, I can only conclude that I had been dealing with a deceitful business whose only interest is profiting off of membership enrollees and their trust.

I believe there are other people on this website that have experienced the same fate. Therefore, I'm justly giving warning to other potential enrollees to be cautious, as I feel this business is only out for the quick buck and to rip you off.
