On Wed. February 15th My Friend Jennifer and I, decided to get our nails done. It was alittle too late and most stores were already closed. I was driving down Stockton Blvd. And seen an Open sign on Star Nails, so I pulled in. The door to the Business was locked so we started to walk away, when a lady came out and asked us if we wanted to get a full set. We turned around and said yes and walked in. She told me to take a seat and I did wait patiently. A man came in from outside came in and started to take my polish off and file my nails. Thats when a younger man came in from outside and took over for him. It was kinda unusual looking and I didnt like the looks of it.
All the employees were laughing talking in a different language. I asked him if it was his first time doing nails and he knodded his head yes. The older man was right above his shoulder watching. As he started to file my nails, my finger started bleeding and it hurt as if almost stabbed my finger! He kept proceeding on and did it once again on my other hand. I asked him what he was doing and no respond.
When he was putting on the fiberglass he only did one little layer and it was uneven and felt very thin. I asked him why it was so then and he said because. I then told him i would not pay $20.00 for this and they asked why. I responded and said I am in pain first of all and second I could of done a better job myself. I have never had this expirence before getting my nails done and i have been gettin them done for 4 years. The other lady came over and started getting loud with me telling me I just did not want to pay and i was just a Rich white girl that was stupid.
I got up and told them I would call the police if she wasn't okay with it. She then started talking in her laungue loud and pointing at me. I wasn't sure if she was threating me or not so i walked out and went straight to my car. My friend was in the car waiting for me and I told her what happened she told me to call the police. I did and they told me to report to the business bureau. I am very much a nice person and always pay for my things. I was disgusted with this!
