Curascript ignores patient rights

This company is terrible! Since my medication was offered in generic form as do Jan they have harassed me, lied to me and finally just sent the generic form forcing me to try it.

The lies started in December when the " customer advocate" informed me I had no option but to accept generic. Two days later I received a call from another CA who told me they could not send the generic form I had requested because my dr had prescribed the name brand. I explained to her I had specifically requested the name brand and was told I had to accept the generic.

In February I again was told I had to accept generic. I advised them that they had better talk to my dr before they sent it. When the medication showed up it was the name brand.

This month when I placed my order the CA referenced the name brand name, discussed my name brand co-pay and confirmed they would send the name brand. Imagine my surprise when the generic form showed up! When I called to ask why I was told they had specifically marked it as generic so I had requested it. They would have to have a supervisor pull the call and get back to me. I told the CA that this had to be a priority as I would be out of meds as of that evening. This medication allows me to breathe, it is life or death med for me. I also told the CA that I have had terrible experience with generic medication in the past.

No call back so I was forced to take the generic. The next day I waited until late afternoon to place a call. 36 hours after my earlier call. I finally got to speak with a supervisor. What a crock! Supervisor tried talking me into just using the generic form. Tells me with one breath that they understand this is life or death medication and take their service serious.in the next explains she failed to call because she was in one meeting after the other for two days. Yeah, sure, customers are important as long as they don't get in the way of a meeting. She finally gives in that this was their mistake, right down to the point that my dr had wrote the prescription specific to the name brand, so they are sending the name brand to me. Of course by waiting till late in the day on Friday to look into this issue she insured I have to continue taking the generic over the weekend. She also told me since I have not had a "serious" reaction to the generic I should switch to it.

While I haven't had what she determined to be a serious reaction I have noticed my blood oxygen levels have remained at around 92 with the generic instead of at 96 where they stay with Revatio. I have also had a dull head ache all weekend (a side effect) that I do not get with Revatio. I am furious that someone at a call center with no medical training takes it upon themself to override the prescription from the world recognized Pulmonary Hypertension specialist. I would like to know what kind of kickback they are getting from the insurance company or medicine providers that make them follow a personal agenda to force patients to take generic.
