CalPERS switched from Medco to Caremark for our huge teachers union employees meds management. Caremark has demonstrated incompetence in every aspect of my interaction with them. They have overcharged me, given me erroneous information, none of the phone customer service people (although polite) have been trained in the procedures of the company, none of them take notes when you call so you have to do it entirely over again with the next one... And it seems they are double charging the system, based on my print out of med costs. And everyone agrees, so why do we still have them as a provider. CVS drug store would not even accept a prescription order from my doctor by telephone and insulted him as well, telling him he couldn't be a doctor if he did not have secretary!!! Ouch...
