After many years of being a loyal Target customer I am finding myself reevaluating my stance. It all started 2/8 we saw the Nolan club chairs in our local Target store. Since we have a compact car we opted to order from Target.com. We placed our order with our Target Red card and promptly were given a window of delivery between 2/10-2/22 on the order. On 2/9 the order shipped and we were given a link to a shipping company called DB Schenker. Everyday we checked and no further updates, finally on February 16th we saw that it was supposed to be delivered in Friday the 17th. I took off work as this is a large item that would need to put in our apt. Leaving it would block a public walk way and not make the city very happy. Anyway on the 17th nothing showed up, so the next day my husband took the day off so once again someone is home for the delivery. Again nothing... To avoid being redundant my husband and I tagged teamed this action until the 21st when out of frustration we contacted Target.com and received an email response from Dipti who stated that our item showed delivery on the 17th. Now aggravated we emailed back asking for this to be escalated and we were soon contacted Genelyn who assured us it would be delivered on the 23rd between 2 & 6pm. She also gave us a case number for any further issues 3-800838759. The 23rd comes and goes without being delivered. At 6:26pm I contact Target.com and I talk to a Mark who despite trying to help just made me more angry so I requested this be escalated to a Supervisor. I was put on the phone with Sarah and she seemed very concerned and wanting to help. She put me on hold for a very long time and then came back on stating that she didn't want to leave me on hold any longer and if she could call me back. I said sure and she also gave me the contact number for the shipper. Sarah never followed back up with me. This morning I contacted the shipper Estees and after having trouble finding the order they found it and I was given a delivery time of between 11-1pm. At 11:59pm Estees was here to deliver. The driver apologizes that he only has the base... I am like only have the base? Yes the umbrella base. I was like that is not what we ordered and I refused shipment. We contacted Target once again and after getting escalated to a Supervisor named Denise we were told that once they receive the item back that our account will be credited and we can order again. She also tells us for our trouble she is sending a $15 gift card. We requested to speak to someone else with more authority and she stated that she was as high as this was going. After hanging up we are fuming so we call Target Guest Relations and explain our situation. The guest relations person says someone will contact you and hangs up. She didn't take our name, case, or any other kind of information... I work in hospitality and I ever treated anyone like this I would be unemployed. This is unacceptable!
