This was the first and last time I will buy anything from The Brick. I went there on Saturday May 12 to purchase a couch that was on sale for $599. When we went, we saw the couch we wanted outside in a tent and asked if we could order a new one. The sales person said no problem, we will order you a new a one for the same price. We paid 10% and then were told to pay the remainder 3 days before it was to be delivered. It was to be delivered on Sunday May 20 for certain. When we went in on Thursday May 17 to pay off the remainder, we were told the couch would not come in for Sunday and that it would come at some other time. They did not do anything to solve this situation, but instead kept blaming other other employees. We now received the couch today, Thursday May 24 and it was THE WRONG COLOUR and DAMAGED. After already having to make accomodations the first time it was not delivered and having now thrown away our current couches, we had no option but to keep the defective couch half assembeled until a new one comes. We had both the delivery people call customer service and we called as well to make sure. We were bounced around from person to person and kept being told "someone will call you soon". After repeatedly asking WHEN will someone call me back or resolve my situation, I was told to "have a nice day" and they hung up on me. Now, we are going back to the actual store and seeing what can be done because The Brick is nothing but a LOAD.
No one takes responsibility, but continually blames everyone else for not knowing how to do their job. Human resources needs to do some intense training and refresh employees of their responsibilities including the lazy one's not on the sales floor.
