Returns/customer service

I shop at target weekly. I try to avoid "rosemont" even though it's the closest. People on the floor are very helpful. But i have had a problem with jill[manager] and lori [customer service]. I tried to get the difference on a table i bought and then went on sale. I was told i couldn't. I talked to jill and told her i would buy another and return it. She didn't say i couldn't. I went to customer service and was told i couldn't. Then i said i would return the original table with receipt and rebuy it. They said i couldn't do that either. Why didn't the manager tell me. I wanted to talk to jill but she would not come to customer service. I returned the table. The customer service i received from "jill" & "lori"
was rated a d-. I was treated like they were doing me a favor. They weren't very nice. It seemed to me they didn't like their jobs. Will wait to hear a response. Thank you, lyn
