I had bought all my furniture from the Brick in one visit (bedroom, living room, etc). They sold their furniture warranty really hard to me and promised to reduce the price of my furniture if we got the warranty. So I ended up getting the 5 year blanket warranty - BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER!
Less than a year later I accidentally had gotten some stains on my couch and contacted the warranty department to get the stains removed or the couches replaced. They advised me that the brick considers a stain one which the customer has tried to get "professionally removed" at THIER OWN EXPENSE! Anyway, I went ahead and did that and to cut the long story short, after i submitted the claim, I made over 50 calls in a 30 day time frame to try and understand what was being done. At the end of the longest process I was told, that the stains are not covered under the warranty!!! Why was I asked to get my couches professionally cleaned in the first place when I told them the type of stains I had?
1. Every customer service rep is clueless, rude and doesn't know the process - names of the reps i spoke to (sherisse, sim, rainer, frank - to name just a few)
2. I had asked to speak to a manager over 4 times and got no call back - this was over a period of 2 weeks!
3. Almost 1 month later i got a call from the rudest person i have ever spoken to - james pappion from the edmonton head office. He is apparently the highest level manager there. He bluntly told me that my claim in rejected and upon trying to explain my situation to him he rudely said - i have already told you, your claim is rejected.
5. When i asked to lodge a formal compaint - he said your complaint has been noted by me!!! I told him that i want to complain about him and he would not let me. Next he hung up on me!!!
Sorry for all the capitals, but I just wanted to express how angry I am and how I want to save as many people as possible from this greedy monster called the brick,
I have decided that I will go hit every social media website there is and expose the SCAM that is The Brick. I will also involve the media and any other influential channels.
If you are reading this - stay as far away from the brick as possible!!!
CHEATERS, LIARS, RUDE, INCOMPETENT are some words that describe the warranty customer service reps and managers at the brick.
If you are from the Brick and are reading this, please note that your colleagues are doing a shameful job and your customers are very very unhappy with your service.
