At about 11:30 a. M, I went to Morronne Bakery located on williamsbridge Road in The Bronx, to buy bread and Milk for me and my familybreakfast. I got into the shop went straight to the freezer where more than 20 whole milk and a few fat free ones were stocked. I pulled one 3/4 gal. Looked on the expiry date and was (exp. Date JAN 16)
Decided to buy along with some bread and took it to the girl who was busy making the coffee.
She said from a distance " Sir, I am not selling the milk" and I asked 'Why'
She replied, " I will not get another delivery until next Thursday" and i said " so why don't you pull it out from the shelf so that people will no more ask
And she even didn't bother to say anything tp me while she continued to serve other customer.
I was upset by theiir service and went to another store a block aay to get my milk.
I suppose this kind of service is not acceptable for anyone by a service provider. I think they should give courteous notice or write a note on the freezer, whatever way to inform politely that they are in short of milk. I wonder how many people will be misunderstood by asking why something on shelf is refused to be sold.
I asked for the manager, but the same girl / the only girl at the counter refused by saying " he is not here for the moment."
I left the shop dissappointed and decided to inform the relevant organizations who work for community safety.
Sometimes little things count to destroy the ETHICS of a modern society.
