15% restocking fee for merchandise is a joke. I purchased a laptop returned it in under 24 hours with no physical use, yet I get nailed with a 15% fee. I paid $157 for a product in which I changed my mind about (kind of expensive if you ask me). The Sales manager was not at all kind nor did he really care if I was returning the product, never even offered to make some sort of accomidation for me (just thought that was how good customer service worked).
As I was being being ripped off for 15% I explained to the sales manager that I was going to bring back my television which was under 30 days old, his response was of disbilief, thinking I was making an idol threat. Twenty minutes later to his utter disbelief I returned my 30" widescreen television, and have shifted my business elsewhere.
Oh yea as I was leaving a potential customer was coming into the store, I sent them to best buy after he heard how I was treated. Lesson learned, treat your customers well or else they will become some elses customers and you will be no more.
