I placed an order on 9/27 for two 7" Matrix One tablets, priced 59.99 each (shipping and handling through FedEx ground for an additional 11.49). The site published the delivery date as 3-4 weeks following placement of the order. I placed the order through Google Wallet.
After 3 weeks had passed I contacted the company and was told that the tablets were en route from the supplier and they would begin shipping the following week. This may only be incidental - but the support personnel that took my call seemed to be calling from their home (given the background noises).
I waited another week and called again and I was informed that the tablets were held up in customs in Alaska and it would probably be another week before they shipped, and that I would receive an email notification when the tablets were on their way (again, the support staff appeared to be managing calls out of their home). I have tried contacting Matrix One on 4 different occasions over the past week. Once using their email support submission form and the other three times via phone. I have received no response to any of my attempts to get in touch with support staff and when I called today, the phone message said the office was closed.
I read another Rip Off report that was almost identical to my experience, however, I have only just submitted a request for a refund (my account was debited for the tablets and shipping the same day as I placed the order on 9/27). Hopefully this can be resolved - although I am very disappointed since I had intended to give the tablets as gifts to my kids for Christmas.
