Over a year ago, I purchased a Behringer EPA-40 portable public address system. It is powered by a rechargeable battery. Although the model is current, apparently NO replacement batteries are available. I used the unit only slightly in the time I owned it, but it would no longer hold a charge, so I tried to purchase a replacement battery online - and could not find it. Vendors would only back-order it. The company offered no relief - saying only that the batteries were "on order".
They accepted a check for me in payment, saying the battery was in stock, but a subsequent inquiry produced a "they're back-ordered" response. I requested, and received my check.
