Company ships damaged TVs - refuses to replace/refund them

We ordered a TV for our business on June 26. When the TV arrived, or rather the shipping company called to schedule a delivery, they called and asked, "there is some damage to this TV - do you still want it?" What a stupid question! Of course we didn't want it!

They said they would contact US Appliance and get another one sent out. 3 weeks go by and nothing from either US Appliance or the shipping company. I finally call US Appliance to find out what is going on. They had no clue initially and how to do some digging to find out where this was. Finally after about 15 minutes the CSR comes back on the phone and offers to refund or send another TV out. That seems simple enough.

Over a month later, US Appliance ships it out with Pilot Air Freight. When Pilot makes the delivery, one of my employees who took it asked them to take it out of the box to inspect it. They refused. The TV is too heavy for one person to handle (60" plasma) so it sat where the shippers left it until we could arrange for a couple of guys to take it out.

When we got around to doing this, we noticed the screen was shattered on the TV. We contacted US Appliance and they flat out rejected any replacement or return. They claimed since it had been 10 days (40 days total since delivery) they would make us eat the cost of the broken TV.

They are punks to deal with - A Costco, Amazon, or Newegg would never give this line. Learn from our lesson and DON'T ever buy anything from US Appliance!!!
