I just called Direct TV because every time the wind blows it stops working. They have gone from charging around $50 when I signed up in Feb to $155/month and I can't even watch TV most of the time. Their reasoning was "all my disounts ran out" so the monthly bill went up 150%.
I just talked to someone names Chris and he yelled at me after I told him that I have taken off work several times to get the issue fixed and the TV still goes out even when the wind is barely blowing. He pretty much called me a liar and said the last time I called was when I delayed the set up in 2010 because of the ice storm (over a year and a half ago).
He also said "he is not going to just throw money at me and call it a day" because they need to trouble shoot. So I would have to take another day of vacation to deal with their "trouble shooting". I am moving soon and will never use them again. AT&T charges a lot for service but at least it works!
