I went online to look up the HD DVR. The ONLY one they show is the HR24 which is the model that I wanted because of the speed when operating it. I put my order in and had everything installed. After the installer left, I was going through the setting and noticed how slow everything was going. Any remote input would work only half the time. My friend said this is hardest thing to use because you never really know what you pressed actually was received. Searching for shows was horrendous, I also noticed that the installer installed an older receiver than what I they were advertising (approx 6 yrs old). I called to let them know that the receiver they installed was the older model and it was operating extremely slow. The only reason I agreed to go to DIRECTV was because I did not want their older equipment because they are slow. All they could tell me was that they cannot promise what receiver that I will receive. The rep kept telling me that she was sorry that I misunderstood their website. She asked me if I specifically asked for the HR24. I told her no because they are only offering ONE HD DVR so why would I ask for a specific one. All I wanted was what was offered on the website. Then they tried to sell me their free receiver for $100. I have never dealt with such a cold company. She literally told me that they cannot offer what is offered on their website because they still have the older equipment in their warehouse.
