I was a comwave customer for 5 years for long distance calling. They offered me the Home phone service and i took it. I was on a basic plan which is $14.95. It was a 3 year contract.

Thats when the trouble started. I upgrade my plan and they happily did that. After few month i downgraded my plan and they charged me $50 for downgrading. I was shocked as i never heard that in canada and on top no body tells you all those things.

It takes lot of time to talk to a customer service rep and when you talk to them they have no powers to do anything. I have wasted lot of time talking to them. If you have problem do not call them specially if its billing issue. They do nothing excepy apolozising.

Then after few month there was a new plan which i took thinking its a good plan. They call it global unlimited plan @ $29.95. There is no thing as unlimited. You conly get 3000 minutes to call. They charge you for extra minutes. Another rip off and fraud and best thing nobody will say that when you take the plan.

Another catch when you upgrade your contact renews autometically. So now you are stuck for three years more.

Now the best part, lets say you want to cancel the contract, GUESS WHAT you still have to pay the monthly amount of all the months that the contract remains. WHAT A RIFF OFF.

Companies like rogers, telus, bell charges you max $400 to get out of the contract. But I dont know how comwave is doing business in canada. The contract is insane and should not be legal as it has nothing for the client. Because everything happens on the phone, nobody ever see the contract and if they dont tell you these things in advance how can a client know.

I am waiting for my contract to be over which is another 2 and half years. After that i would never ever take there service. I highly request people to boycott companies like comwave who doew not have any ethics. Being a canadian i feel cheated and hate to say that these type of companies operate in canada.
