I bought a General Electric washing machine and dryer approximately 2.5 to 3 years ago. Both of them immediately made odd noises, and our service man said there was nothing he could do about it. The board and motor went out of the washing machine and I bought a Maytag. My mother's Maytag is 15 years old. Do not buy a GE product.
They are very inferior products.
