Every verizon wireless rebate i have submitted over the past 5 yrs has been rejected. They send a confirmation email leading you to believe it was recieved ok. Then a post card arrives weeks later claiming you never included the original bar code panel. The post card tells you to resubmit with the original!!! But the original was sent the 1st time and it was stapled to the rebate form. The 1st time i got scammd and thought now i dont have the original and they lost it and i am out $50. When it happened on another i got wise and had made copies before submitting. I called and they resubmitted over the phone. Now it has happened 2 more times!!! I again had copies and had to call. On both the 1st one they said they got the upc panel but couldnt read it. But this rep could read it. How is that??? Now the 2nd one they claim never got the upc panel but the receipt from verizon wireless had the IMEI number on it. I read it to them and i wont hold my breath on getting that $50.
I retired from Verizon Communications (landline division). I took pride in my job and good customer service. Unfornutely the wireless part is non union and they outsource the rebate to some idiots in TX. Not sure if its the outsource that is scamming or if verizonwireless tells them to reject all submissions in the hopes they dont have to pay out on the ones the dont follow through and call.
Just a bit of info for the people that say they dont like the visa card and wanted the cash. You can go online and transfer the 50 off the card and into your bank account.
