I recently visited our local Best Buy to buy a Macbook Air. I can afford to buy the device in cash right now, but it would be easier for me to distribute payments for it over the next few months.
First, I had to wait twenty minutes (and be passed between three different salespeople) before I could even get help.
Second, I had to recite all of my financial information not ONLY for the salesperson helping me but AGAIN over the phone. Yes, it's true, I got to stand in a Best Buy and yell (over the background noise and bad connection) exactly how much I make in a year, my address, my full name, my shoe size... You get the idea.
Their products may be perfectly fine, but Best Buy's customer service is appalling. I'll be taking my money elsewhere.
