I had to write a report because I was really so shocked by the responses of both Harmon Kardon USA and Harmon Kardon Canada.

I bought the Soundsticks several years ago. I loved them. The sound is sooo good, and it was just as comparable to my Nakamichi system which I gave away when I took vows in a Tibetan monastery, years ago.

I recently moved to Canada and broke one of the pins in the speaker wires. I contacted Harmon Kardon in the USA and they told me that they wouldnt do any repair, and suggested that I just buy a new set!

I cant believe that kind of attitude. Since I had purchased them in Vermont, when I lived in the US, I called them first, but I noticed there was a Canadian site also, so now that I live in Montreal, I called the local office.

The response I got from the Canadians was just as bad. Basically told that they couldnt help me since I purchased in USA, which I could understand but their attitude was really very poor. Again, their attitude was that it was just as easy to go out and spend the $200 dollars.

I simply wanted them to repair a simple tiny electronic wire, it would have been simple. I was willing to pay for shipping of the item, etc, but no, no help.

Though HK claims that their product is so unique, that it is now in "the permanent collection of New York Citys Museum of Modern Art", unfortunately their customer service will never be in the Museum of Hospital Customer Service Relations.
