Ripoff mistreated and ripped off

My husband and I have purchased over five thousand dollars in products from Circuit City. Recently in the passed year three products that we have bought have all failed to work in one form or another. The first was a set of Polk-Audio speakers, the bass system inside the speaker gave out within two weeks of owning them. My husband returned them and graciously the sales rep. Replaced them with two new ones.

The second was a Harmon Kardon 7000 model receiver. The model started to turn itself off every fifteen minutes while we watched movies. Again my husband took it to the store and they sent it into the repair department. After two weeks the repair was made and the product returned to us. The first night we had the receiver home it started to do the same thing. We used the product in this condition for two months getting more fustrated by the day.

About 45 days ago our Sony Tivo satellite receiver spotted working also. I was on the phone for 3 hours and the rep's from C.C., Sony, and Directv couldn't help me. I took the receiver and Tivo unit to Circuit City and the customer service rep set the items to repair again. I was upset because she didn't want to hear what I had to say, she just repeated policy information over and over.

I found the manager that same day and tried to explain my situation, he walked me and my mother to the front over the door and said have a nice day. The Tivo unit came back 35 days after it was sent into repair, this was after asking everyone we could what the status of it was, and getting responses like, "I don't know." or, " It's at Sony, that's all I can tell you." On the 40th day of repair a C.C. Technician called and said the stereo receiver is still under repair. My husband asked if this is a constant problem. Paul the tech told him that he is currently working on our unit and another one for the same problem, plus one unit just left with similiar problems. My husband asked him what his options were.

Paul said that C.C. Will either exchange the unit or refund our money. We went to C.C. And they would not refund or money, they only gave us store credit. We do not want any more products from C.C. We don't want their business or broken products. The store manager stood there as we explained out problems and he wouldn't say a word. We just want our money back. My mother has even bought broken items from C.C.
