I tried to call Sprint on May 31 to cancel my contract and they were closed for the holiday. I called June 1 early in the morning, and told them I wanted my service shut off. I was told they would shut it off June 30, I told the rep, no way I want it off now! She told me ok, but you will be billed pro-rated, for what I asked? If I haven't even used the phone at all in June.
I then received a bill from Sprint on June 9, for the month of June, for the whole amount.
I called them again, told them there was no way I was paying them for something I had not been using, the service was shut off on the 1.
Eventually the guy did tell me he adjusted the account to show I had a zero balance.
If you are going to shut of your service with Sprint, do it before the 1st day of your billing cycle.
When I started the service, which was at the end of a month, I had to pay for that whole month. I had only had the phone 2 days in that month.
They are a huge ripoff!
