NCO runaround - deceptive - got nowhere in trying to first shut off my service, and then transfer it to daughter's name

I am a long time user with Sprint, always overpaying for YEARS... I just paid and paid and paid, but this was the only way to keep in touch with daughter in college. The phone was for daughter's use for all the years I was a customer. This year I started trying to shut my service off around April because the contract was ending around then, not sure which month april or may.

Sprint said that the balance would have to be paid in full and that the contract ended around May or June. They also said that I would have to pay one month more ahead of time before I shut it off even though the contract ended one month earlier (assuming that this is Sprint's way of bilking yet one more month with the claims that it has to do with their "cycles". When I called to end the service it Sprint said it would be ended that day (legally by me, end of contract) Thas was around May or June. That was supposed to be the end of it.

The cell phone was for my daughter's use and I told them that when she ended college she could either start a new contract with Sprint IN HER NAME but that because my son was entering college that I needed to pay many expenses for him and could no longer afford paying for my daughter's use of the cellphone.By the time I was finally EVEN ABLE to shut it off it was around June or July. I spoke to a rep who said it was ended and would be shut off.

Unbeknownst to me the cell phone was turned back on the very next day by Sprint who spoke with my daughter who called wondering why her phone was off. I did not consent to the cell phone being turned back on, no one contacted me from sprint to ask if i knew about this or not.By the time I found out that the cell phone was in use, there was already a new balance that needed to be paid down. I told them she could keep the phone BUT THAT IT WOULD NEED TO BE PUT IN HER NAME. I SPOKE WITH MANAGERS A COUPLE OF TIMES REGARDING THIS.

Over the next month or so daughter made random payments, but the cell phone kept getting shut off and new turn on fees added to it. I kept getting new bills in my name, and kept calling them asking when would the bills be IN MY DAUGHTER'S NAME AND NOT MINE?! A couple of times I was reassured that it would be switched over, they spoke with my daughter via phone RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME. After months of arguing about this with sprint, trying to get late fees, etc reduced so I could try to pay it off got me nowhere.

Someone at sprint finally told me (around november) that i must go to the sprint store and transfer the bill from my name to my daughter's name - except that cannot be done until the balance is paid in full - the balance is now 281.00, i've got nco calling me and sending me letters. This can harm my credit which is good, and i don't know where to turn at this point.

Daughter could only find part time work, has not made a payment because the Sprint late fees kept accumulating, she was overwhelmed with her college loans starting, and could not to pay all the excess fees that Sprint has charged. THE BILL IS STILL IN MY NAME AND I AM RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS CELL PHONE BILL THAT I TRIED TO SHUT OFF WAY BACK IN JUNE/ JULY.

If anyone could help please, some advice would get greatly appreciated.
