Loved going to HD. Loved how friendly the employees were. Loved just browsing and finding new ideas for the garden and around the home. Then it happened!: O (An employee made an error.in an attempt to fix it, the managers gave me store credit for the huge overcharge (three cards totally $1,200). I used the credit to purchase various items for my landlord, daughter, myself and mom. When the items didn't fit, were defective or wasn't what they wanted, I merely returned them WITH RECEIPT in hand. No problem they told me. Then i was frozen and forbidden to return anything for 90 days even with a valid receipt. So, my very busy daughter had to drive 40 minutes one way to the nearest HD to return the items I had purchased for her. With RECEIPT IN HAND she should have received about $200 in store credit (She return four Exhart Solar Gopher and Mole Mover Electronic Stakes that cost $99.88 plus tax and one Rigid 100' contractors extension cord that cost $90 plus tax). NOPE, didn't happen. Even with the original receipt, they only gave her their sale prices thus she received only $115.!! Ticks me off! Managers can do nothing. They said it's corporate policy and the decisions are made by a third party.
OK HD Headquarters. Hire third parties who don't give a hoot about your loyal customers. This one has hit the road. LOWE'S here we come.
