I got an advretisment in the mail from optimum cable stating tht "if i dropped my direct tv &came back to them-i can get the trple play package-[bundel]-for a year @$69.99 a month[and free dvr service for a year included]-also they would payoff my direct tv contract-[$300.00]-well i thought it sounded ok so i went for it-so far i do not know if they paid off my dish co -also the free dvr is a scam-im being billed $10.95 a month for somthing they told me was free-[i still have ther oringinal mailer. Witch states "bounus-free dvr for a year"-when i sent a copy of the flyer they sent to me to the company in melville ny-i got a notice witch stated"this offer not availible in your area!!??"-well why did your flyer make it to my mail box then???!!! -thers a name for this-"its called bait&switch!"-futhermore after i got done talking to a cable co rep[cable vision office]-"she actully states to me"-id call em-cos your "not" gonna get tht dvr for free"-well i tried tht too but to no avail-got my bill yesterday-and its still on ther[billing for the dvr]-i had complied with e.V.E.R.Y. Thing that they required [in a timley fasion]-even tried to write-and reason w/them-but i guess ther greedy owners dont care about the customers-all i wanted is what i was promised-i guess i understand now why half of ther customer base has left them-watta buncha crooks
