I received a call from Elephant Wireless saying they are the sales agent for Cingular Wireless. They made me an offer to renew my Cingular contract and "upgrade" to GSM service. I agreed and when I got the GSM phone and found it didn't work, I called Elephant within the 15 day return policy and told them the phone did not work and I wanted to send it back.
They asked if I would hold off and try a dual mode phone first. I told them I was concerned about going outside the 15 day return policy and they said it was OK, if I was not happy with the dual mode phone I can return it and the 15 day policy will be honored. 3 weeks later I still have not received a dual mode phone, my GSM phone does not work hardly at all and I requested to send it back and go back to my old phone and I was told I can't because I'm over the 15 day return policy.
Cingular wont help much and I'm sure they will lose more customers because of the poor treatment Elephant gives their customers.
