This summer I made the mistake of purchasing a Verizon phone at a local store. The next day I went to return it as the paper work given me did not match the sales pitch. I was told that to port my phone number back I needed to go to my previous server. It was the end of the day so 2 or 3 days later I
returned.

They charged me a restocking fee of $35 and told me there would not be any other fees. Then I got a bill in the mail for my monthly fee, followed for one for terminating the account early. I called the company and they agreed to reverse the early termination fee (it only applies if you have the phone for two weeks). However they then charged me for going over the minutes fee. I contracted for 450 minutes a month and according to them I used up 395 or so of those minutes in the 3-4 days I had Verizon.

Regardless of the fact that I paid them for one month service they use some convoluted mathematical formula to insist that I went over the minutes. I told them weather I use my minutes in 3 days or 30 days should be of no concern to Verizon. I paid for a months worth and a restocking fee, which is over $75 for 3-4 days usage. Now they are harassing me with calls and letters to pay them this going over the minutes money. I wont do it!
