Hi,

I had a solomobile plan earlier.

1) First of all they charged me $98 on a $30 so low plan. (even though I had made very few calls)

2) The have a very strange rule on number portability. When I decided to switch over to other company - they charged me for 30 days from number cancellation even though number was already transferred to new service provider.

I would advice to make transition on this as soon as possible. You could get much cheaper unlimited plan on Public mobile or Wind Mobile. (Solo/bell people will obviously say that their network is not good but on the contrary their technology is new and superior.)

Secondly before you actually make switchover - make sure you call Solo and tell them to reduce to the lowest plan so that for atleast next 30 days (when you have already left Solo) you don't have to pay the full amount for 2 different service providers.

It's a big rip off strategy of Solo. Beware Consumers they may offer you some schemes like offering free phone (but their phone has no Sim card and designed in such a way that you can only use solo on that phone) but once you have taken their service you will really repent and they have all their strategies in place to make transfer to other providers expensive.

They have charged me for 30 extra days even when I have already made number portability. (thus I am paying to 2 different service providers for same 30 days even though I am using only the new provider) They should be sued in Court. They are making the number portability laws a mockery!
