I ordered an entire crib, changing table, and dresser set from Babies R Us on May 21st. The dresser and changing table came without problem that same week and were delivered into our apartment. The crib on the other hand has been an ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE. Babies R Us gave us a tracking number so that we could see where the crib was. It was shipped out on May 23 on 3 day freight from Newark airport in NJ to JFK airport in NY SO NOT FAR AT ALL. It arrived on the morning of May 25th at JFK and I was given an arrival date of May 27th by 5pm.instead of it being delivered it sat and sat and sat and sat in JFK airport for more than 2 weeks. I called numerous times to the company, spoke with at least 5 different people and was given NO ASSISTANCE AT ALL. This company didn't even call UPS with whom they have a corporate account in order to solve the problem for me. The customer service reps were rude and unhelpful and made me feel the most frustrated I've ever felt in my whole life. This company seems to have no one in charge and is a faceless corporation who cares nothing for customers even when they spend A LOT of money. So after arguing on the phone with 5 different ppl the crib finally comes (through no help of Babies R Us—I called UPS myself) on June 6th... 3 weeks after it was ordered and 2 weeks after it was just sitting in JFK airport. I open the package and the headboard/main piece that everyone sees of the crib has a HUGE chunk broken off of the wood. This time my fiancé calls and gets up to what we think is corporate after 1.5 hours on the phone and after being hung up on 3 different times. The corporate guy Logan, says he will reorder the crib for us but that it could take more than 14 days again. He offered us NOTHING! Even at the corporate level they could do nothing to make sure I get my crib that I ordered 3 weeks ago within the same week after delivering a defective product!!! Also the crib comes from Newark NJ and I am in Brooklyn NY—that is NOT FAR AT ALL!!! I am now 9.5 months pregnant and have a broken down crib inside my nursery with a chip in it that Babies R Us promised they would pick up and haven't, and no perfect condition crib. All we received were half-hearted apologies. Also, UPS doesn’t deliver up flights of stairs unless the customer pays extra and after all they have done to us emotionally thus far Babies R Us won't pay the extra amount to have UPS carry it up one flight of 15 stairs for me. I am shocked and appalled at how unprofessional this company is. They are unresponsive, uncaring, and they take advantage of their customers. When there is a complaint that needs to be made with the company they have no "go-to" person and instead pass you off from one incompetent rep to another, half the time dropping your calls. I haven’t gotten what I paid for at all and I am extremely upset that I did my entire registry through this company and have been treated like crap. They are shady and should be investigated. What an absolutely terrible company with terrible people who don't care that they are dealing with people who are highly emotional and attached to the products they are purchasing.
