Purchased a Sony Vaio computer on 3-15 for $899.00 I was told by phone agent Charlie Vasquez Tiger Direct had a new program where they would buy back your purchase within a 2 year period for full price towards a new computer purchase. I should have read the literature, I didn't because I had been purchasing products from them for years with no problems.
This statement by the agent was of course not true. I called Tiger Direct to use my buy back plan to purchase a new computer. I was told by the agent he was not familiar with that program and gave me another number to call. I called that number and they explained how it really worked. The information they provided wasn't anywhere near what the agent in 2010 had told me.
I called and talked to the infamous Danny Rodriguez who's name appears on quite a few of these complaints. He suggested he could get a supervisor to get me a full refund for the sony I purchased on 2010.5 or 6 days went by. I got frustrated and called again and finally got a hold of a supervisor by the name of frank. He told me the best he could do for me was sell me a new computer for cost plus shipping. Which when all said and done would have saved me about $100.00. I talked to my Attorney. He said this is tantamount to fraud and misrepresentation. I consider it is fraud and misrepresentation.
I would also like to know if there is anyone else out around the country who had this happen to them.
I would enjoy initiating a class action suit.
