Ripoff deposit lost wanting another Denver internet

When I had my Cell Phone activated Nextel required a $200.00 dollar deposit this deposit was made on a credit card... Over a year later i asked for my deposit back and they could find NO record of it because they could not access their old system... I gave them the credit card name and number and they still wanted me too give them another deposit... I asked at that time if the phone would have been turned on WITHOUT the deposit too start with and they said no... I then said well for it too be on you must have got a deposit right... They agreed they must have but because they cant find it turned off my service and they have now sent it too collections.
